Our Services A technological society demands that its individuals have higher levels of literacy than ever before. The costs are severe for those individuals who do not function at an adequate level. In general, adults with inadequate levels of literacy were once children who struggled to learn to read. Children struggle with reading for different reasons. However, research shows that good scientifically based instruction can help all children read better. Meeting this need is the goal of The Ford Center for Reading. We believe every child can read- and we make it happen.     At The Ford Center for Reading, we base our services on the blueprint scientific research supplies. They fall into three categories: assessment, prevention, and remediation.
